To whom this may concern

To Whom It May Concern:

My name is Manny I am 28 years old and going on 29. I have 15 brothers and sisters and a very large family along with them. Peoples first question to me after knowing how many brothers and sister I have is "are you all close?" and regardless how far apart we are and how long it's been cense we've spoken I always respond "yes, of course".

Ok I now understand why that's always my response. It's because growing up in my family we were always indirectly taught that some things are the way they are simply because they are and everything doesn’t have a rhyme or reason. I bring this up because the same goes for touchy topics like Religion, politics or sexuality. In my family we didn't sit around the table and discuss our POV on religion or politics or even if we thought the apocalypse is near. This wasn't because we had no interest or opinion on the matters it was because what doesn’t kill us only brings us closer. And to me relationships will always come top priority.

I don't sit here today asking you to avoid having a conversation about things that may or may not be important to you, I sit here and ask you to truly understand the worth of people before you build walls that will ultimately seperate them. Why do we place so much emotional efforts to get our point across when these topics are discussed more then others?

Yours truly,

Manuel “Jemini” Caride
